NAS Oceana 1942

Thu Sep 23, 2010 7:08 pm

My father served as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy during WWII. He and I are looking for any aerial photos of Oceana c. 1942 when he worked on F4F and F6 aircraft. Does anyone have or know where to see such photos?

Thanks.

Mark-

Thanks so much for your quick reply. The link with the pictures is exactly what I was looking for. My father was at several of the airfields around Norfolk Va. during WWII. We were at a USS RANGER/VF-9 reunion this past weekend and were able to see some of his old stomping grounds. It was great to compare the old photos with the new and see where he was. Thanks again!!
