Here are some pictures I took from my trip down to the Midland Airshow, with my dad, Bill.
Getting ready to take off from Boulder.
What it looks like in the back seat.
View of the Flatirons in our wake.
Coming up on Colorado Springs
Clouds are cool.
Now some pics from the show.
It was pretty amazing to see this, and authentic zero. So crazy to think about how few of these are left. I'm pretty sure its not boring to fly.
This thing really captured my attention, too. I was talking about it with my dad, and I swear the fuselages, while looking like regular p-51s, are bigger than a normal one. Anyone have any insights? Anyways, pretty interesting plane. I've heard about a lot of the crazy projects from WWII, but haven't seen anything like this in real life before.
Everyone likes explosions right?
Now the trip back.
We saw this at (I think?) the Amarillo airport. We weren't sure what it was, but my dad figured someone on here would have a better idea.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Another roll before we got to Boulder
And the view of the Flatirons as we descend.
I had been meaning to post these for a while, but my computer was having some issues. I know they're a bit late, but hope someone can still get some enjoyment out of them.
Ok, I couldn't get the pictures to work so I just deleted the [img] tags, so they'll at least work as links. I'm sure theres a thread somewhere that would tell me how to get them to work, but I really just did this tonight because I needed a bit of a break from writing my paper on Anglo Saxon literature.
