Hi all,

I am looking for a copy of the AN 01-1B-40 or similar documents regarding weight and balance for the Corsair F4U-5.
If anyone is in posses of such documents, please let me know.

Regards,
Werner

Werner,
I have a 25 year old 3M microfilm cartridge that we acquired when my father owned part of a -5 project in the 1980s. The cartridge is from LTV and contains a large amount of technical data and manuals for the -5 series. I would think the W&B info is on the microfilm but I've not had much luck finding anyone who has a reader/printer for this type of film cartridge. I may have posted a photo of the cartridge several years ago on WIX so I'll see if I can find the thread.

Werner,
I think the documents you are searching for might be on this microfilm cartridge. I just need to find somebody that still has a machine that can load this. The local public library had the correct reader printers twenty years ago but I'm not sure they still have them. I'll check. Did you find what you were looking for from another source?
Thanks,
Albert Stix

A few months back, I was told that the local HQ branch of our county library still had some reader/printer machines working that use this type of cartridge. I might be able to stop by there on Wednesday and see if that is true. I wish I could find a machine that could convert this film into a digital format.
