Cessna 206 Question

I found a show called Dangerous Flights produced by Discovery, just wondering why this stationair has cables running from the wings back to the tail? Pictures 12 and 14.

Probably an HF radio antenna and radio installation for trans-Atlantic or Pacific flights.

HF Antenna installation. All Cessna's have that when fitted with HF
