Read somewhere that it is located BEHIND the F/O, and is viewed by using a couple of rear-views on the dash?! What's the theory on that decision? |

They could not mount it in the middle, so the DC-9,MD80/90 B717 all have the compass behind the F/O with little dinky mirrors to view it. Trust me it is a bitch to do a compass swing. (I used to work on the B717) |
