In this mornings birdcage liner, GOODYEAR is beginning construction on the first of a fleet of brand new blimps.
The blimps, built in Germany by ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik wil be assembled @ the Wingfoot Lake hanger near Akron, Ohio. Construction will take about 7 months then certification and crew training are planned for early next year, GOODYEAR says says the new blimp wil be larger and faster than current ones as well as more maneuverable and carry more passengers.

Didn't Goodyear say they were no longer going to be operating blimps, that was now going to be contracted out?

i hope their plans go through, this area is suffering heavily in regard to the economy, & has been long before 2009.
