According to this evenings news, the befuddled, pompous, self agrandizing know nothing about the subject morons who occupy the U.S. Congress have decided that they need to poke their spoons into the 787 battery issue by holding hearings on the subject, as well as on aviation safety in general.

Well, why not? They are done fixing the economy and unemployment problems!

I read an article today saying that this battery issue is causing people to lose confidence in electric cars.

What are we, a week and a half into this, and politicians are making sweeping conclusions already?

The media is already jumping over Boeing, saying that since the merger with McDonnell Douglas (which happened 15 years ago?) that Boeing is too big and that has caused the 787 problems. WTF? How are the two even related?
