Plane nose-dives into IAH, lands safely

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A plane landed safely at Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday despite having defective landing gear, officials said.

Colgan flight 4915 was operating as a United Express flight from Little Rock to Houston.

According to a United Airlines spokesperson, the plane's nose landing gear did not extend when it came in to land around 10:45am.

The rear landing gear did work and the plane safely came to rest with no injuries reported.

Officials said there were 30 passengers and four crewmembers onboard. Passengers were evacuated and bussed to the terminal.

Crews pulled the plane to the side and were working to make repairs Saturday afternoon.
