Post subject:  PITTS S2S electronic ignition question.

Greetings
I've been working on a brand new Pitts S2S model, it barely has 15 or 20
hours on this aircraft.
This aircrafts' powerplant is a highly modified Lycoming IO-540, it also has an electronic ignition system which is totally new to me.
I love the tried and true magnetos myself, if it aint broken why fix it...
This system consists of a series of ignition modules(ignition coils)
and two computrized (control modules) boxes, along with the sensing equipment on the "Flywheel" ring gear.
The squawk is that the engine runs fine at start-up, run-up and during flight.
After a 15 or 20 min. flight the pilot brings the aircraft back to his hanger and does a pre-shut down ignition check, like a mag check.
The engine will miss fire and run badly on one or more cylinders and not always the same cylinders.
Alot of troubleshooting has gone into this with the changing of plugs, modules but not the control boxes.
It is starting to look like a heat issue with the control boxes, has anyone ever run into this issue before with electronic ignition systems.
Any help would be helpful, Thanks, Tom
