It was a beautifuly day at the races on the Detroit River.
We stayed on the Detroit side this year, unlike last year, as we do not have the required passport/border card to cross the US/Canada border.
Viewing was difficult unless you got there early and were able to get right on the railing. We sat by the fountain walk area as we brought our 3 year old daughter with us. The fountain kept her entertained (and cool). We left during the "great 8" or whatever it is called. Too much down time between rounds.
There was a 2 ship CAF Harvard (Super Texan) formation, with a little tailchase/flat scissors action! The CF-18 did a short demo including a wonderful zoom climb into an Immelman and "adios!"
Here are a few of the photos I got. Photography was difficult as there was little wind and after 3 or 4 racers went through the course the smoke trails did not dissipate making the river "foggy."
