A fellow by the name of Bruce Dickenson is building a mulligan-esque plane at Santa Paula airport. It is such a sweet plane, I stop by and check on his progress frequently.

Excellent recreation of "Mr. Mulligan". Fantastic job on all the sheetmetal work as well...especially the bump cowl. Does he have a projected time of a test flight? |

What are the additional intake ducts for in the cowling? I would guess that two are for the carburetor, so are the others for an oil cooler or two? Gary |

The amount (and quality) of work Bruce has done is beyond words. The cowl and sheet metal was done by Will Kalbermatter with Bruce of course. This airplane has fuel injected 1340 on it (no carburator). It will be flying very soon. By the way they are now calling it the Mr. Dickenson. The quality of the work that Will has done on the cowl is incredible you just cant believe he has formed that thing out of one piece of metal. I can't say enough about Bruce's work on building the entire airplane from scratch (everything). This is a very complex airplane and when you look at the quality you would be hard pressed to not think it was factory built. |

Bruce Dickinsons "MR Mulligan" flew today! He had quite a crowd. Amazing airplane. Beautiful landing. Apparently he had it up to 250mph. |

walter soplata has a howard, but i think restoring it is out of the question due to extreme corrosion. |
