Post subject:  F2G "Race 57" Question & Reno Racer Question

Does anyone know what power settings Bob uses on the F2G at Reno? I'm wondering because I have the Aeroplane Heaven F2G-1R (informal name given to the F2Gs modified for racing) for FS2004 and FSX but it uses a generic checklist and performance information that doesn't include a "how to fly it". It has some issues (aux rudder doesn't automatically deflect so you have to roll in full right trim on the rudder, tailwheel animation is incorrect, other fairly minor niggles), but the handling and the power seems to be about correct as I was lapping the Reno course fairly close to his times from 2007, so it can't be too far off, but I want to be sure I'm running the right power settings to get the most out of it.

While we're at it, how about any other unlimited racers you might know? I know that they published the power settings for Dreadnought in an article several years ago, but I don't remember what they are off the top of my head. I think this would be good not just for those of us who also fly flight simulators, but general knowledge of how minor changes in aerodynamics might affect power settings to get the same level of performance out of different aircraft.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Scotty, the first two were the ones I was thinking of for Dread. The third does help quite a bit. Thanks.

the top engine air scoop on 57's cowl is not original. my best friend played on 57 while it sat derelict at cleland's field ajacent to my buddies dad's golf course in the late 50's in solon ohio. he has the blue prints to the original configuration, which would weigh heavily on it's proposed performance. my buddy & oddeggard have remained close friends for decades.
