This forum is for discussions pertaining to Air Racing and Aerobatics of NON-Warbird aircraft. In addition this is the place to discuss General Aviation aircraft topics and yes Michael, that includes flying Lawnmowers :)

So Gary when are you going to get that '53 Buick?

Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:48 am

Stay tuned, Ober. I don't have an old Buick, but I do have a pretty neat tow vehicle that I'm working on as we speak. ;-)

That might not be too far out of the realm. We could use it as a way to get Mr. Lacey to join the rest of the gang in a few laps around the pylons. :)

I just thought I'd let y'all know that my dreams of doing anymore racing are over. I have a situation that will not allow me to obtain another medical (at least for the forseeable future) and I will no longer be flying. As a result, I will be selling Another Solution and anything else I have aviation related. Thanks to everyone who showed so much interest in this project and especially to those who've helped morally and monetarily. If you wish, I will be happy to reimburse each of you your sponsorship money.

Gary, that’s just awful news! My condolences.

Mon Dec 08, 2008 10:28 am

Thank you Eric.

I forgot to mention in that post that I am NOT looking for sympathy. I just felt it was fair to everyone that was keeping up with this project to know the news.

Thanks again,
Gary

Sorry to hear that Gary.

Why don't you keep it, finish it up, and then get someone to fly it for you? :)

Also, I know you couldn't fly it at Reno, but wouldn't the plane qualify as Sport Class? ;)

Well Dang...Sorry to hear that Gary... I was going to live vicariously through you and your little racer....now what?!

Maybe there is a chance for the future...
