A news item on tonights local Seattle TV news reports that AIRBUS is in discussions with Alabama about building an A-320 NEO assembly plant in Mobile, but th' Guv says he can't say anything about that at this time........... :roll:

I guess they were impressed with the reception they received during the tankler competition.
Not to mention the state tax breaks and low wages compared to Europe...and no paid 4 week vacations, etc. :)

Still, it wil be just a final assembly point, most high-value airframe pieces will still come from Europe.

Alabama is a right to work state. I wonder what the Euro Union goons think about that? Airbus is pulling the rug out from under their own employee unions!
