Canadian DISCOVERY CHANNEL is about to start a series about the joys of ferrying small aircraft called 'Dangerous Flights' and of course, those of us who don't live in the GWN won't be able to watch it until it turns up on NATGEO for about 1 1/2 seasons like ICE PILOTS used to.
Instead we can all watch the latest phony 'outlaw motorcycle club' series which I watched for about the first 15 minutes last night before sleep sounded better than the show did.

Its not a bad show, lots of over dramatization but that's to be expected, and pistons sound like turbines and vice versa

A long time friend of mine knows the principle guy on the show, I believe he races jets @ Reno and he makes his money doing ferry work.
I Started to watch a really cornball two parter on CBC last night called 'Above and Beyond' about the ATC ferry system during WW2, knew it was in trouble when the opening scene is inside a Hollywood idea of a HUDSON approaching England at the Dover Cliffs from the U.S. (!!???!!)Then it quickly went low rent Masterpiece Theatre, all clever reparte' and 'just folks' coming up with all the puzzle pieces to make Ferry Command jell.
I stopped watching when a scene was two actors having some sort of discussion while the PT6 on a BASLER Turbine DC-3 (marked as ITISH OVERSEAS AIR between the actors heads)was turning between them, made my fillings ache so I had to stop and wasn't about to stick this turkey out until 12:30 A.M. If you see this listed AVOID AT ALL COSTS or you'll need insulin!
I'm hopeful that ARCTIC AIR gets renewed, it's pretty corny too but it fills a programming gap on Tuesday nights for me and it's only an hour, I can put up with that.

Shouldn't have gone to sleep.... Phony MC Club was really funny....... Not quite as good as SONS OF ANARCHY (MC Club President lives in $500,000 house, town cops love them, etc)
