I got to wondering the other day, with all the mergers of carriers lately, who's radio I.D. 'tag' survives? I know that US SCARE kept 'Cactus' when it swallowed America West, is it still that after the American merge? What about DELTA, UNINTINENTAL?

Despite the mergers, I still hear "Delta", "United", "Continental", and "USAir" on the radio here in the D/FW area.

It was America West that did the swallowing, so they kept Cactus, while using the name that doesn't sound like a just regional carrier.
