I agree, but the Mods did not move the other thread started by Bill and I want people to realize that the thread can still be discussed. I thought about putting it in the General Aviation section, but since most people don't check there, thought that most would miss it.

If this wasn't important enough to discuss here, I think the Mods would have moved Bill's thread on the same topic right away, instead of leaving it here.

I don't care where this ends up, really.

This is Bill. As for which topic goes where, I first learned about the King incident on Warbird radio wed night. If it was important enough to talk about there, it seems to me it is important enough to have on the main section of WIX where it is seen by most people, not buried in the gen av section. Although the King incident happened to a gen av plane, it could as easlly have been a warbird, especaially since many are rebuilt and may have a new N number. Ryan on the radio asked me if Ihad ever had any similar trouble in a warbird, which I hadn't; BUT you can imagine the adrenalin rush some bored cops might get if the DEA told them that a stolen( or drug carrying) WAR bird was headed their way. It could make for a good Ceech and Chong movie or a tragedy.

As for politics, some of you guys must have a fertile and sick imagination. Do you wear tin foil on your heads to keep out the Venutian rays? There is nothing in what I wrote that is anything about politics, there isn't even any mention of either party, not Repulsican or Demoncrat, nor any candidate or anyone in office, and this program is not related or restricted to any one party or administration. If someone sees "Politics" in something I wrote here then they probably see the Boogie Man under the bed, or it is a personal animiosity towards me more than anything else. It just makes you look smaller.

Inspector, as for a direct reference, as I wrote if you type in EAA.org or AOPA.org to google you can easily find the King story, or you might just type in King arrest or some similar.

Basically, they were seized by police at gunpoint in Santa Barbara, Ca. because the DEA reported them to be flying a stolen plane. It was leased from Cessn, not stolen, of course, it was a problem with a computer that had innacurate info, and local law enforcement who don't know a King(or two) from a donut, and didn't bother to check.

Bill you are 100% correct, nobody, including the Mods, were referring to you. Other posters brought up the politics, not you. I agree that this is an apolitical thread.

all I can say is...uh....
