The fuselage eventually made it to the salvage yard in Harrison, NJ, while the National Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation.

Looking at it, I'm surprised the underside of the fuselage held up so well.

It looks to be in amaising shape considering what occured. The only skin damage I see look to be from the rescue boats that were up against the fuselage.

Hard landing, salt water bath, structural damage to the wings.
Notice how the fuselage is loaded on the trailer i.e. chains through the door, no padding that is visible. This plane is junk...

I read today that Capt. Sully left some library books behind...he asked the library for an extension on the loan..they waived all fees and placed a template in the replacement book dedicating it to him.

Easy there. This is a message forum, not a court of law. The pilot who brought that plane in was a former AF fighter jock. That should count for something. This was a big event here in the States and I enjoyed the post...
