Who has photos of the F2G Corsairs that raced the National
Air Races from 1947-1959? I am especially interested in the
birds owned by Cook Cleland.

Owen, are you interested in period photos only, or do you want current photos also? I've been lucky enough to see and photograph Race #57 BuNo 88457 a number of times since Bob Odegaard put it back in the air.

I have some of Odegaard's tremendous restoration. However, that said, one can never have too many.
What I would really like to find are period shots of
the planes as they were raced back in '47-'49. There
were some great ones on a site called "Plyon 1" a while
back but it seems to have disappeared.

Thanks,
Owen

You might want to try the board over at AAFO, http://www.aafo.com/hangartalk/forumdisplay.php?f=2 , The owner of pylon1 has been known to hang out there and might be able to help you with period photos. You might also have some luck here http://warbirdaeropress.com/1forum/index.php (Scotty G also has some excellent current photos of Bob Odegaard flying #57)

If you want more current shots of #57, drop me an email and I'd be happy to send you some.

Hi dj,
By all means shoot me some hi-res scans of
"Race 57". I'll add them to what I have.
Thanks for your time!

Thanks!
