Trip to Ohio

Thu Oct 18, 2007 5:29 pm

I am in Akron Canton, Ohio. Just checked into the Hilton Garden Inn, next to the airport. I made a last minute flight up here today, Thursday, to look at an engine for my Bonanza. Some interesting history at the nearby airport, it has the 1929 hangar Goodyear built for the blimps, now owned by Lockheed, and they used to build Corsairs here. I am heading back tomorrow afternoon.

Bill;
The MAPS museum is at the airport in Green, at the Akron-Canton Regional Airport about 8.5 miles south of Akron Fulton Airport.
