Passed Instrument Checkride today!

Just wanted to drop a line to those of you who've encouraged me to continue. Today around 5 pm I got down from the IFR checkride successfully! It feels really good to have it under the belt - and to be done. :D

Great job!

I started working on mine last February but a certain four-engined project ended up taking priority. Hopefully this fall?? At any rate, congratulations on a fine achievement.

Way to go Ryan. Would like to read what method you used, what FBO/school etc. Just remember that rating is just a tool, gravity is not impressed with it and the ground is still just as hard.

Thanks for the words Bill! That idea has been very real to me during this training, especially with all of the tough losses we've had over the last month while I was wrapping up the rating.
I did the training at Sky Safety at historic Stinson Field here in San Antonio (it's the second oldest continuously operational GA field in the entire US)
http://www.skysafety.com/ and really appreciated a good instructor (Jason). They convinced me to do the Part 141 track for the training. All of my ground training was one-on-one although they do offer classes as well. We used the Jeppesen Curriculum and flew Symphony SA-160s - which are nice planes. Too bad they're not being produced currently.
