Hello WIXERS,
I'm trying to find details about the Thompson Trophy Air Races which took place in 1936.
I'm actually looking for a list of the aircraft flown that year.
Google didn't turn up with a definitive list.
Does anyone know where I can find details (website, books and photos...)?
Thanks for your help!

Hello Rob,
Thanks for your infos.
I'm now looking for photos of Francisco Sarabia Gee Bee XB-AKM. The aircraft is currently preserved in Ciudad Lerdo, Mexico.
I would need also if possible details about the time it was used during the Thompson Trophy Air Races in 1936. It was painted in green from what I understand.
Any additional infos or photographs will be welcome

.
Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,
I have some photos of the QED. Even some drawings that a friend of mine gave me! He has a full set of drawings for this machine!! I will post a few pictures from my collection here in the next day or two.

Hello Dan,
Superb, thank you very much! I look forward to see your photos. They'll be very useful for the making of Romain Hugault new comic

Awesome artwork, Ben! I have pictures of quite a few racers if you want more. Most are not published.

Just FYI, there is a full-scale, flying replica of one of these
being constructed in my neck of the woods (Seattle area).

Bela,
I had tried to track down an email for the builder of the QED but was unsuccessful. Any idea how to contact him? We can PM the details.

Ben, every so often there is a listing on e-bay for the Reed Kinert Series on air racing. One was just up with the item # 6636883557. It wasn't the full set, but sometimes a period volume comes up by itself. Keep your eyes open, they are an excellent reference!
