For fans of the NC-4 Flying Boat...one of my favorite aircraft. Anyone know the restoration history (she looks too good to be in original paint)...? I know she was stored for decades before being re-assembled and put on display for awhile on the Mall in D.C.in 1969 and then shipped to Pensacola in 1975. Possibly restored at the Naval Air Museum before going on display...

I just got home from shooting circuits in my Tiger moth, but man! That looks so cool! Could you imagine? Talk about your open cockpit biplane! WOW! Thanks for posting all those great photos. Andy |

Can you imagine what this beast must have sounded like? Or how many gallons of dope it took to cover those wings?  Really cool! Andy (not scared of the thread police)
