That's fabulous! Congratulations on a fine, and I'm sure fun, achievement. According to the specs, I figure this replica must be bound for Reno, It's nice that (other than the engine) the builders tried to keep it as original as they could. Well done. Andy Scott |

Horsepower doesn't mean that much in those type of aircraft, inch-pounds or displacement is more important. - |

I thought that this was going to be about the Airshow that will feature the BoxKite in March 2014! http://www.airforce.gov.au/Interact/Dis ... dc+u6Ro5VF I've pencilled in to attend, but it's a lot closer for me than most here.

Andy Scott Apparently, when TVAL made a repro German WW1 engine, it had noticeably more HP than the original, due to better tolerances etc. |
