More like 1425hp...Wright R-1820-86B. Nice "sleeper" QED! It should raise a few eyebrows hanging out at the burger stand with the other vintage racers when the racing for "pinks" happens later! ![]() |

The QEB flew for the first time today at Olympia Airport (KOLM) in the expert hands of Carter Teeters. Carter has been conducting taxi tests all week and wanted to get it in the air before poor weather set in next week. Only a few squawks; loose flying wires, and some brake problems. Otherwise, he said "it really wants to fly fast" during the one, large traffic pattern he flew. Appropriately, Mr. Moss's ashes were in the back seat for the flight. Mike- |
