This two-part news report on the 1961 crash of Flight 529 near Midway Airport has been posted online:

Part 1: http://www.fuzzymemories.tv/#videoclip-4118
Part 2: http://www.fuzzymemories.tv/#videoclip-4117

(This is the TWA plane that was lost when a 5/16" bolt backed out of a control mechanism on the stabilizer.)

Interesting coverage at the dawn of 'in depth' TV accident reportage.I understand it was 51 years ago but I'm somewhat bothered by the more than casual methods used to 'remove' the bodies from the stretchers.
Chris, don't know where you found this, but thanks for posting it.

L-049 s/n 2035, N86511, '555 Star of Dublin', renamed in 1961 from 'Star of Paris' (assuming 555 was it's fleet number)

Interesting mix of video tape (early use) and 16mm film. The beginning and end location shots are video (easy to tell bythe different quality) so they sent out a remote unit, which back then was a pretty big piece of equipment.
