Wing Nut, I believe you have the tach and airspeed swapped. That looks like an airspeed next to the VSI but I could be seeing things. Please tell us more about this restoration and where it is. Any more pictures? Thanks, David |

I'm curious then, because the airspeed indicator only has double digit numbers instead of triple. The plane will definitely go over 100 kts. I had thought that would mean it was the tach while what actually IS the tach has numbers going all the way around it. I am not an expert, so I'll take you word for it... Edit: Never mind, I see it now. The numbers co counter-clockwise ending in 120... |

The airspeed appears to me to be clockwise rotation with 220 mph as the last number at the upper left. The maximum allowable speed for a Travel Air Mystery Ship is 235mph and the airspeed indicator is good to at least 270mph. |
