Close....
Close in the fact that is two wings.... three wheels... and round motor! 
Arent all yellow biplanes Stearmans.... and this one isnt yellow! So.... no... thats not it!

This is an early variant before they standardized on yellow. |

At first I thought it was a 1929 Kreider-Reisner (Fairchild) KR-21, but the tail isn't correct for the type. Is it an earlier model? Engine does appear to be a Kinner B-5 which would be correct for the period. |

The wings dont taper like the 21. |

I'm quite familiar with the KR-21, as we have four of them here in our area. That's why I thought it might be an earlier model than the -21. |
