Rare Biplane

Here is a good mystery bird.... any guesses?? And... yes... I know what it is.... just wondering who can guess it.

2 seat biplane with a radial engine... Gotta be a Stearman!

Close....
Close in the fact that is two wings.... three wheels... and round motor!
Arent all yellow biplanes Stearmans.... and this one isnt yellow! So.... no... thats not it!

I thought all Stearmans were yellow

This is an early variant before they standardized on yellow.

At first I thought it was a 1929 Kreider-Reisner (Fairchild) KR-21, but the tail isn't correct for the type. Is it an earlier model? Engine does appear to be a Kinner B-5 which would be correct for the period.

You are really close in the era of biplanes, Roger.... but here is a KR21...
The wings dont taper like the 21.

I'm quite familiar with the KR-21, as we have four of them here in our area. That's why I thought it might be an earlier model than the -21.
