Any information on the Eagles Mere (Wiley Post) Bird CK? I understand it had a power loss resulting in substantial damage. I believe the pilot was not seriously injured.

Unfortunately, true. Thankfully, the pilot was not injured. The cause is still under investigation, although I believe the obvious causes have been ruled out. The airplane is repairable and will be repaired.

Very happy to hear that the pilot was not hurt. Sounds like the plane can and will be fixed so as they say, any landing you can walk away from, is a good one. Very helpful bunch of folks over at the Eagles Mere Museum. I hope to visit some day soon.

As a heads up, this link to the Eagles Mere Air Museum is broken. The website is being revamped. There are some pictures up on the website, with more to come. Go to the museums homepage start from there.
