I am trying to find any information a DC-3 that was flown by Mohawk airlines and known as the Lamplighter. Anyone know about it. Any pics? Chances it survives?

It might take me a while to find it, but my brother-in-law gave me all his slides years ago. (he worked for Lufthansa for 36 years) I I seem to remember a Lamplighter slide taken at JFK.

Hey jeff, I can't remember if we talked before or not about this. Ask him if he knows Clair Pazey, Bob Huddock, and Jay Brennan. They have great stories about people that could make a movie

We have, he only worked there for a yr or so. Who I need to talk to went from Mowhawk all the way throught USAIR to retirement. He would know them but I have not seen bill in a long time. If you see them, ask them if they went to any of the reunions in fla??? We took a DC-3 over to the reunion. But before we got there, we had Mowhawk decals made and put them on the side. I wore my dads overalls with his Mowhawk patch on the back for the ride.

Chris, I seem to remember that the airplane ended up in a forign country and ended up getting destroyed. I am not sure but I think I had read it somewhere. It might be in a book or a web site on the DC-3.
