Ya know, I was just up there visiting him in October or November and got a ton of pictures of it (wings off, in his shop). Somehow now I can't find them though...Within the next month or so (FAA permitting) we will be doing the initial test flight on the airplane and probably put the first few hours on it for him so I'm sure we'll have to pictures to throw up in the next few weeks. Keep and eye out! If I don't get them up here they'll surely make it to antiqueairfield.com. BTW, your website is wonderful! What a cool project. We've got a friend here in Spokane who is debating if he is going to build a Hatz or an RV-7 for his next project. You can imagine which way we are pushing him! Keep up the great work!

Hi Ryan,
Thank you for your post and for the nice comments to our Hatz project and website! My son Sam (28 Years) is doing most of the building and also errected and maintains our website.
We are still searching for the right colors and paint scheme for our Hatz as it should look from the 1930's!
I already optained a picture from your father Addison of this particualr Stearman C3B shown dismanteled in the shop. I hoped to catch some pics taken outside during the makeing of the first engine run video.
Would be nice to get some when there are available.
I watched your project on the Travel Air website as well. Happy building!
If it wouldn't be that far away, I would love to visit you guys at Spokane.
Kindest regards
Hans, Switzerland

Because he painted them on the wrong wings!!!!!!!!! Should be bottom of left lower and upper of top right.

No, they'll be correct when he hits a 100 MPH headwind and is backing thru the air.Besides, didn't Duane Cole have his name upside down on the fuselage? How many aerobatic specials have you seen with inverted N numbers on the fuselage? Your assignment for the weekend will be to define 'normal'.
Nice job! too bad the video stops and goes into forever buffer @ about 2:25

As soon as the video starts, hit the pause button and go make a pitcher of tea...or make love to
the ol' lady two or three times...whatever occupies you best for 5 and a half minutes. Come back, hit
the play button and you should be able to watch the vid without stop.
Love those individual stacks, lovely restoration!
