The bird belongs to Tina Thomas at Poplar Grove, IL, and has a Kinner R-55. Airplanejunkie has one just like it- Bird ads used to boast that it could beat an autogiro off the ground, so when the opportunity came to get some air-to-air of both we had to do it. ![]() - |

There does seem to be some momentum building to get the Pitcairn done. Progress has been slow but fairly steady and hopefully the pace is going to pick up a bit after the holidays. Steve |

Steve I flew ours once in the snow so i have the "T" shirt for that.. That was in the 70's and have not had the inclination to repeat the experiance since. I don't think i ever warmed up.. take care jcw |
