I shot this photo at the Peachtree Dekalb Airport, Doraville, GA 1982, an was unable to get the civil registration number of the airplane. Additionally I am stumped as to the Make and Model of said airframe ![]() I pose this question because I ran across this heavily damaged airframe on a back road in Georgia. I asked the owner if he wanted to sell it, but would not put a price on the remains, he said that many have came to him wanting to buy it, but as of yet no one had came up with a dollar figure that he liked, saying it would make a decent pattern. It appears to be the same type of airframe above. ![]() Naturally I will accept a "finders Fee" to support my "habit". ![]() ![]() ![]() I know someone in the forum will be above to answer my querstions ![]() |

That would be a Stinson V-77 Reliant. Several saw military or quasi-military service with the CAP IIRC during WW-II. Saludos, Tulio |

You get the airframe then all you need is a set of wings. Then just hunt for a Guiberson deisel engine and your home free. If not a 300 Lyc will work. |

I helped a guy start a Guiberson aircraft engine on a test stand, but have not seen one on a plane. The only problem I saw was it shook pretty bad on shut down. |

The top plane is a Stinson however the bottom plane is a Noorduyn Norseman - never mind, I think it is a Sinson Reliant. Regards, Art S. |

Poor old Stinson. Boatload of work on that one. The top shot appears to be an SR-8 or 9 and has a 300 Lycoming in it. By looking at the bottom shot it appears to have had the wings ripped from it if you look at the cabin above the cockpit. Also appears to have suffered a groundloop as well. Still quite a number of V-77's out there. Problem is that you cannot get your money back on them for the amount you have to put in to restore. |

I agree, the top aircraft is an SR Stinson, probably and SR-8. The project is a much later V-77. |
