Just heard that s/n 1091 - N241M has been sold. Restoration work has begun at its hangar in Denton, Texas. Engines are off for overhaul. The airplane will be restored to flying and its new base will be in Czechoslovakia! This Lockheed was once based there so it will return home, so to speak. Will post more when I look into the details.

Hey Dan: I know it has been a real downer to Doc, having to sell off his birds. I know that he terribly misses Matt and how he took care of his stuff. I've got a bit of time flying right seat in her and lots of greasy time working on her. I'll miss her being stateside, but it is fitting that she gets a chance to return to her original home. I do hope they pay homage to her past when they get her over there.

That plane was always one of the stars at the Stinson airshow. Matt took lots of people up for there first prop ride. Will really miss it.

Aw..that's a shame. That's a beautiful airplane. I have not seen it in several years.

I saw Doc at Arlington tinkering with the PT-22 last summer. Still a nice guy...as always.

I hope he is well...
