Great stuff! I've been a huge Connie fan all my life. I've never had the pleasure of seeing Star of America fly in person, but maybe some day, I will. Please keep the photos and information coming! A good friend of mine, the late Gordon Hargis, was one of the Connie's pilots. The "old timers" at AHM will surely remember him. He kept me informed on the ship's restoration as it was going on, as well as supplying me with quite a bit of general Connie history. He was a career TWA pilot who had 8,400 hours in Connies while with the line. I miss him, and I think of him every time I see The Star! Cheers! |

I am very hopeful that things are moving in a positive direction and I look forward to seeing the Connie in the air again this year. Keep us posted. ![]() |

Great update! The DC-3 is looking good. Like the interior! It would be great if you posted updates as often as you see new progress. Post away! |
