No joke! Either it wasn't the first time he ever did it, or he had some rather large brass attachments. |

Neat stuff. A number of people looped autogiros back in the 1930s, including Jim Ray (Pitcairn test pilot), and Johnny Miller, who did aerobatics at the Cleveland Air Races, including a roll on top of a loop. Maybe somebody will dig up some film of that to post on youtube. |

This first loop occurred in Bridgeport at the plant Sikorsky moved to after the Corsair production pushed them out, not Stratford. Jerry |
