Post subject: | MORE ANTIQUES |
I got tired of looking here and not seeing much posted so I thought I would drag out some more photos to spark conversation. I just found a box in a closet at home with probably 2000-3000 slides that I had forgot about. All Antiques and Warbirds and a few Classics. If I get too bored I may just start picking a manufacturer and posting 10-20 shots at a time to see if we can spark some posting. I did not go and I.D. these for everyone because I didn't feel like typing that much. I know what they all are so I will let you all do the legwork if you want ID's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Don......I probably have well over 200 Fairchild photos of the F.24/C8E variety taken since 1960. 98% of them are color slides. Just went digital about 5 years ago. We can approach this two ways: you can provide me with a list of what you already have or you can provide me with what you are looking for. I can then fill in the blanks. As I mentioned elsewhere, I literally have probably 10,000-12,000 plus slides and they are really not in any particular order although I did start that project a number of years ago and do have some albums that are type specific and I think I have a good portion of the Fairchilds together as I had so many photos of them. Let me know. Andy |

Hey, I've flown that Bucker Jungman, the yellow one in Swiss markings. Lovely airplane. It's built and owned by Larry Ernwein, who did a superb job. I traded him a Tiger Moth ride for it. Dave |

Great shots. The SR9F was restored here in Texas. Helped a little reassembling it after it came out of the interior shop here at our airport. Love the 9F with the 985!! The red leather interior in this one is awesome! Wish my 170 smelled of leather like it! The red Staggerwing came out of the shop I use to work for. Unique that it has the "D" shaped rear window. It was restored in 1987 for Bill Hill. Mr. Hills collection of airplanes and engines was sold at auction. Kermit Weeks ended up with a few of the engines. Neat stuff... always look forward to your picture posts! |

By all means! keep posting those fantastic shots-I'm a big fan of WACOS and really admire and respect those big senior STINSONS, Do you have closer shots of the SPARTAN behind the silver staggerwing? |
