Since I just posted a bunch of Warbirds in the WIX Hangar I thought I better be fair to all my Vintage buddies and post a few: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Fine-looking airplanes! Nary a nosewheel in sight. I even see a red Fairchild 24 (Don Parson's?) framed by a pair of yellow wings. Whose Finch is that, in such Canadian colours yet with an N-number? Dave |

I think that Howard is the one that spent a couple of days in my hangar. Got to fly it a little....what a marvalous flying machine. |

Many of these pictures are of the American Barnstormers Tour airplanes when we landed at Oshkosh in 2006. I am flying the 1932 Fairchild F-22. It was a great tour as was this last summers trip to IA, NB, KS, and MO. |

GREAT Photos! Thanks for posting them. I know I'm making a display of my ignorance here, but curiosity trumps pride. What is the parasol with the inline engine? I'm assuming a Fairchild of some sort? |

You are correct...a Fairchild 22C7E I believe...Eric Preston can better tell you as he flew it. |

I know I'm making a display of my ignorance here, but curiosity trumps pride. What is the parasol with the inline engine? I'm assuming a Fairchild of some sort? That is not possible here, there are so many different types of antiques, with the exception of Eric, I don't think anyone can keep track of all the different types and models. I've tried for years, but have yet to be able to stump Eric ![]() |

Just happened to find this shot as I was looking for some research photos.....After 10 years of flying the old girl I probably don't have 10 photos of me flying it and only a couple aerial photos....surprising with all the photos I have..... ![]() This is my 1935 Waco YKC-S NC14620, one of two still flying. The other is NC14614 in Connecticut and is actually a ZKC-S with a 300hp Jacobs! |

Contest sounds fun. How do we do it? Any chance I could get a name? Who am I up against? |

Come now Eric...I thought you knew who I was...I am disappointed...we have met and talked numerous times. I have only been around this for 46 years!!!! My name is Andy Heins! |

Yes Andy, I now know who you are by your good name, but I did not know you by your Cabin Standard only. Your family goes way back with Wacos, but I did not want to make any assumptions. It will be great fun to have you on the tour. You need to get set up with Clay Adams if you want to go. I think he always has more interested parties then he does open spots. The sooner you talk to him the better. |

OK, contestants, your first challenge: ![]() By the way Andy, you might want to put March 12-15, 2009 on your calendar for your silver screen debut (I think). It's not listed yet, but it's in the works for http://www.reelstufffilmfest.com/ (and even in Dayton!) - |
