Greetings gang.....have been busy posting warbird slides in the WIX Hangar and so I thought I had better post some goodies here since we have been lax the past five days! This grouping was taken mostly in the late 1960's or early 70's. Hope you enjoy them!

Amazing stuff! Sure wish someone could snap up that Delta and get it flying again! Nice Monocoupe too.

The Monocoupe is now owned by Red Lerille in Louisianna

What is the status of the Trimmer? That is a Baltimore related airplane and I would like to be in touch with the owner if they are available.

No idea.....I tried every combination I could think of on the registry to find it...then tried by make/model and nothing. This photo was taken in the 1960's.

Wishing to see such a one-of-a-kind airplane fly is selfish, inappropriate, and against all principles of preservation -- and I completely agree with you. :) After a short period in the air it should, of course, end up at NASM (or perhaps Canada's NAM). Sort of like the Boeing 307, except without the dunk-in-Puget-Sound part.

The Travel Air 2000 I think is N6298, a 4000. The pics available of it online show it without the speed ring, but I have some older ones with the ring on.

On the Trimmer, according to aerofiles.com only 2 were built, NX41853 and NX/NC41999. Your pic would have to be of 41999. This was later modified into the Biemond CB-1 Teal. See:

http://www.1000aircraftphotos.com/Gener ... alCB-1.htm

You can find out quite a lot about it if you google Biemond Teal.

I have a couple pics of it (Still as the Trimmer) from Watsonville '66.

I like the looks of the Monocoupe with the big wheel pants and bump cowl.
