Hi All,

I got my first airplane ride in the old Island Airlines Ford 4-AT N7584 when I was 12, and have wanted to build a model of it ever since. The plane was touring around the midwest, and as I recall my dad paid the princely sum of $12.00 for a half-hour hop.

I've got Alan Lloyd's old book "Tin Goose," which has plenty of pics of the Island Airlines Fords back in the '60s, and Bill Larkins' Ford Tri-Motor "Bible," which has some shots of the plane after it was restored following its 1977 crash. Most of the pics I've found online show the plane as it appeared in the '80s when Al Chaney was barnstorming it around the country.

What I'm looking for are pics of N7584 as she appeared in the summer/fall of 1976. I seem to remember there was a bicentennial logo on the door. I used to have a couple of "instamatic" snapshots, but they've gotten lost over the years. I did manage to hang on to a poster from the local coffee shop..probably my most treasured bit of personal aviation memorabilia, and the best picture I have of the plane in that time frame.

Thanks,

Steve
