The Model Ts didn't fly in, but we did. The week before Oshkosh was the Centennial Celebration for the Ford Model T, http://www.tparty2008.com/ , and we did a fly-in for them on Tuesday July 22 at Hagarstown, Indiana. The main event was at the fairgrounds at Richmond, and over 900 Model Ts were there from as far away as Europe and Australia. About 600 showed up for the fly-in, and about 35 vintage aircraft, including the Waco CRG that placed 2nd in the 1930 Ford Air Tour. At Richmond Airport ![]() At the fly-in ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and some youtube: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hP8ZwB9vu ... re=related and later in the week we went to a dairy farm and played Waldo Pepper... ![]() ![]() |

A nice selection of photos there. I see Steve Roth's pretty little Fairchild 22, and is that the Chris Price / Ted Davies New Standard? |

Yes, Doc 1 and Doc 2 were there with their D-25, and did a fair ride hopping business at Richmond during the week. At midnight Monday at Hagarstown a huge line of thunderstorms came through and we stood under an awning watching rain and lightning for 2 hours, hoping our airplanes wouldn't get blown away. Chris sat in the cockpit of the D-25 under a tarp, holding the controls from flapping. |

That looks like a fantastic little event. I hope everyone enjoyed it enough to make up for all of us that couldn't be there! Thanks for posting those pictures. Cheers, David |

Yeah, nothing like old cars and old airplanes together. |
