Curtiss Jenny flies today

Around 9:30A this morning, Frank Schelling's 1918 Curtiss Jenny took off from the grass runway @ Schellville, CA and landed on the grass runway @ nearby Sonoma Skypark to attend a Tayorcraft fly-in. A real treat to see this machine in the air. I am in his debt for the consideration that he showed.

Apologies to Roger and anyone else, but I have not yet succumbed to the digital age...and may never when it comes to a camera. Give me patience and I will try to get to a scanner sometime and share some of my late dads PanAm slides and some of my own.
In the meanwhile, I did want to mention this event here as the Jenny is such a beautiful aircraft. Heck, they all are!
Roger, maybe you could please dig this one out from your archives to show?

I didn't get to Sonoma Skypark until about 2:00 yesterday, went to the Hiller Aviation Museum's Trainer Days display earlier in the morning.

You are welcome, but it's Roger & Mike who were good enough to share the photos. Both do great aviation photography...I'm still learning this after 42 years or so of shooting railroad subjects!

Whoops, my bad...thanks to all of you guys!!
Tom, my dad was an engineer with Norfolk Southern for 30+ years until his retirement about 5 years ago...so I have a soft spot for trains as well

Nice to see an old Hisso at full bellow again. I have some pix I'll try to scan of Jay Leno's Spanish-Swiss sports car with an ex-Nieuport V-8 .
Tom M and Clipper 314, I spent seven years as a locomotive engr. with Santa Fe down in Texas before getting downsized in the mid eighties. WIXer Warhawk is a train buff too. I have published about forty tall stories (famous snafu's) of my rail days. A friend in Palestine, Tx. who's a train and warbird buff has them all now and they should be email ready.

I didn't think there were any of those left! Thought the government had converted them all to kindling years ago, under the CAA.
