I love the Creve Coeur photos! Now, having admitted to my general ignorance of between-the-wars av., what sources or sites could be recommended to learn more about WACO aircraft?
What was total production of all types? How many remain? How many of those are airworthy?

You guys got my interest up. Now help me fill in blanks.

sincerely,
Doug Ratchford

Hi Doug,

I'm traveling currently so I'm at the inlaws using the worlds slowest loading computer on a dial-up line, but it's better than nothing.

For a starter on your Waco's, go to the new company's site at: http://www.wacoclassic.com/

Roger,
I feel your pain. All we have in this location is dial-up. ATT says there isn't enough demand. Horse hockey! We can get the tv cable type but Lynnett wants that cable routed properly which means attic rat work.

The in-laws have a real serious customer for the T-craft. He likes what he sees and they have apparently come to terms on price. One joker wanted to cut the fabric and look at the spars. NOT. Looks positive anyway.

regards,
Doug.

Go here for more info and the best source of Waco pics. The oldest type club in existence. Better yet, join and then you can gain access to the forum similar to this one.

Thanks, Wheels Up,
Pretty interesting link; I just checked it out. I was particularly interested in '"other fly-ins" since one is at Brodhead, Wisconsin about an hour from my in-laws' house in Benton.
What part of the Midwest are you in? I'm in Texas, near Houston but I married a midwestern farm girl.

learning about Wacos
