Mark, Nice pix! The first one does it for me. However, can you identify some of the warbirds behind three oh Romeo Sierra? Is that a Connie?? Which B-25? I can't quite make out the nose art but it looks familiar. Could you id the two WACO's? The blue cabin model is a YKS, right? You people have gotten me hooked on WACO's! More! Creve Coeur has recently been added to my 'must-make' list of aviation stuff. The little tail dragger in the dark paint is a different twist. Not a bad looking little number. I'm posting this while my pokey slow rural internet infrastructure plods along with photo downloads. There, back to Mark's pictures. Doug |

Okay, Got 'em. That is a nice Fairchild 24. Looks like an inline engine in that one. The 195 is pretty too. I like that model. We had two real nice ones show up at Lone Star airshow in '06. I went over and looked them over pretty good since I'd never seen one before. Whose Connie and where is it? I haven't seen one up close since the early sixties flying to visit grandparents. I didn't know much about propliners at eight years old but I knew what a Super Constellation was! What is the stubby little red and white tricycle high wing with the pilot eyeballing the T-34? Oh yeah, several of those pix give away that you're in the midwest. I'm a Texas but wifey is from Wisconsin. thanks for sharing Doug. |

Hi Doug - Glad you like WACOs! The first photo is the Fall Bethalto, IL Fly-In three Septembers ago... The Connie is the Save-A-Connie tri-tail, the blue ship just ghis side of it is a TBM Avenger and the B-25 is the CAF "Show Me" ship based out in St. Charles, MO. The blue and white WACO is a YKS and the maroon and white is a YMF. The photo file names have the details. Enjoy the Day! Mark |
