I worked at Canaan in the summers during High School and college and I have to say it was the best job I ever had. There is never a shortage of interesting and rare airplanes and i have been lucky enough to go up in most of them.
Doug is a heck of a guy and taught me more about R-985's then most 16yr olds needed to know. I would always be grinning ear to ear when he would put me in the front pit of the BT to run it up.

I assume you all know Mark Grusauski quite well then. I visited there and sat in that same Spartan. We were supposed to go fly it but the runway was too wet/muddy to fly anything.

Mark and the other craftsmen at Wingworks do beautiful restoration work. They are currently working of a Howard that should be ready for Oshkosh this year.

The howard in the shop now is really coming a long and looks great. I am partial to the first one that they did (Reserve grand champion Oshkosh, Grand champion Sun n' Fun), mainly because i got to do a fair amount of work on it. They do a great job up there and everything they touch turns to gold. It's a pretty neat place to visit.
