I will look through my files; I have a couple of good images, of TACA (Transportes Aereos Centro Americanos] FORDS being loaded this way, with machinery for the gold mines in Nicaragua. IIRC, they are not even using a crane, but an "A" frame.

During the 1930s, TACA flew more cargo, than ALL of the US airlines together.
