I am currently working on a research project involving the evolution of post-war commercial aviation. ONe of the items that I would like to discuss is the purchase and modification prices of DC-3s and DC-4s in the 1945-1950 time frame. I have heard DC-3s went for between $8-15 grand while DC-4s went for $50-75 grand plus modifications. Can anyone direct me to material from this time period that spells this out for me.

Thanks,
Chris
