Alexander Eaglerock Long-wing

Looking for info on an Alexander Eaglerock Long-wing that
had U S Registration NC5083. Serial number unknown.

Trying to help previous owner locate this A/C. He had it sometime in the
late 1920s or 30s and would like to see it again.

A/C was known to be in the Pennsylvania area around 1970.

Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

An extensive Google search only turned up the fact that NC5083 is c/n 494. Hopefully that will get you a step nearer tracing its subsequent history?

Still, I learned a lot about Alexander Eaglerocks from the search, a fascinating subject for someone like me brought up on a diet of Moths, Percivals and Miles .

I wonder how many are still flying?

I could find 20 on the USCAR, c/n 494 not being among them.

N5083 is now a Grumman Ag-Cat. It was registered in 1973, so NC5083 must have lost this registration then or before.

jcw on the board here has a Eaglerock. You might check with him to see
which one it is.

I just checked and Jeff's Eaglerock is s/n 970 N96126.

Thanks for your help. I knew somebody here would know something.
And this is all good stuff.

I was at Mercer Co. Airport in Trenton, NJ to see the EAA's B-17
Aluminum Overcast give rides back in August. I got talking with a guy
who had brought the older gentleman and former Eaglerock owner for a ride.


I will pass this info along and let you know what I hear.
As you can imagine, he had some interesting stories.

You need to talk to Carl Williams of Denver...his former flyer now hangs in a terminal of Denver's airport (but not before we got air to airs of it) and he is quite the Eaglerock historian....the former Eaglerock plant site is now the site of Englewood high school on south Broadway in southern Denver.
