It's just the car - no wings; big sucker though:
Rare one of a kind 1946 Theodore Hall Flying Car a.k.a. Convair 118 wind tunnel test model. Comprised of hardwood and aluminum this model is all that remains of Hall Engineering corporation with both full size prototypes being lost to accident. Come with 25 pages of photos regarding the full size flying car and it's history. Size 38"x13"x14" 75 pounds.

Interesting, but we probably will not see it since, in his excellent choices Craig J. has chosen to stick with what used to be SPEED Channel (now FS1 or 'we REALLY wannna be ESPN' and FS2) and splitting the auction up between FS1 (old SPEED) and FS2 that apparently not too many cable systems carry (not on my COMCAST system)-excellent marketing strategy there Craig old buddy!!!!! :supz:

Yep, I agree...by not having FS2 we'll miss about six hours. Tonight and tomorrow, all we'll get is 2 hours of Fox Business. But all CJ can blubber about is the couple of hours he'll get on Fox this Saturday...it is a bit of a feather in his cap, being on a broadcast network...though that's pretty much irrelevant today.

I don't think the channel split was his idea, I'm sure Fox called the shots and he went along as long as the check clears. I trust the guy about as far as I could throw him.

I quit watching a couple years ago after Leno spent 15 minutes giving the bidders a serious tongue bath over a 'semi famous' F-250 pickup truck :vom: :vom: :vom: :bs:

I think I have never laughed so hard at Leno as I did at that moment.
Even better was when I was at the auction about ten years ago and Reggie Jackson pulled one of his cars off the stage when it didn't meet the reserve - the crowd booed him off the stage as well!

Don't know what the model sold for yet - their listing keeps getting a 404 error.

I hope the San Diego museum was able to buy this as that seems the logical place for it (the last original Hall car/plane was destroyed there in the fire of 1978(?)).
