English Tiger moth (DH82A)
The article gives the owner as Vern Swanson. It also says that the sole occupant walked away with only minor injuries.
Fortunately no one was in the front seat, as the engine tends to end up there with this kind of arrival.
Tiger moths usually take pretty good care of their occupants. It's kind of like the British version of the Piper Cub. It can just barely kill you!

It's not a Tiger Moth. It's an R-80 "Tiger Moth". It's listed as an 80% kit replica of the real thing, but some guys who've worked on the real thing say it's not exactly a "faithful" replica. Mr. Swanson's aircraft was powered by a Jabiru engine which doesn't fit really well within the original cowling for one as it's significantly wider than the original (being a horizontally-opposed engine versus the original inverted inline).

Either way it is good to hear that the pilot wasn't seriously injured. Looks like it was a nice plane.
